…. what we will find.
I am firm believer of what we look for is what we will find. If you look for the good–the good in people, in your surroundings, in your circumstances–you will find the good. On the contrary, if you focus on all the negatives–you will find that too.
I recently read the book A Confident Mom: Simple Ways to Give Your Child What They Need Most by Renee Swope. I recently did a book review for this–take a look at it here.
Renee speaks of the concept “What we look for is what we find” as it relates to looking for the good your child.

But don’t dismiss the thought if you don’t have kids or your kids are grown. It totally can be applied to yourself as well.
Are you looking for the good in yourself or is there a negative voice constantly not letting you see it?
I would like to encourage you to take this question and use it as a journal prompt. Ask yourself what good do you see? Also, journal about those negatives. Sometimes, you don’t even realize how you speak to yourself.
If you don’t have a journal any piece of paper or notebook will do. Like a bit of pretty like I do? Take a quick peek in the Treasured Nest Printable Shop. Sheryl, thanks for the reminder to be nice to ourselves. I have a strong Inner Critic who is often on my case. We have issues! I love the idea of your printable resources.
Kebab – you are such a treasure. Thanks for the comment
