Hope Amid the Pain JustRead Blog Tour

Welcome to the Blog Tour for Hope Amid the Pain by Leslie L. McKee, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Hope Amid the Pain Title: Hope Amid the Pain Author: Leslie L. McKee Publisher: Ambassador International Release Date: October 26, 2021 Genre: Devotional / Christian / Chronic Illness Why me? Is God punishing me? Is my faith not strong enough for God to heal me? How can I achieve my dreams? What’s my purpose? If you’re someone living with a chronic illness or chronic pain, these are just a few of the questions you’ve likely asked on more than one occasion. You may feel overlooked or even resentful. You try to stay positive, but some days it’s hard. It’s natural to feel this way and grieve, but it’s still possible to have a hope-filled life. God has a purpose for the pain. Christians aren’t immune from pain and illness, but we don’t have to go through it alone. Jesus promised that He would “never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV). Millions of women suffering from chronic pain and illness want the reassurance they’re not alone. The devotions in HOPE Amid the Pain are written by a chronic pain warrior with over twenty-five years’ experience and will point the reader to hope and encouragement. It’s possible to Hang On to Positive Expectations (HOPE) even amid the pain. PURCHASE LINKS*: Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Book Depository | IndieBound | Christianbook | BookBub

My Review

I don’t suffer from chronic pain so I wasn’t sure I was a good fit for the book but the title “Hope Amid the Pain” spoke to me. I found this devotional book very relatable despite the fact our circumstances are not the same. I have experienced an emotional pain not physical. Anyone experiencing a “Why is this happening, God?” experience will find the 60 daily devotions relatable as well inspiring. Each daily entry begins with a scripture and ends with a warm-hearted prayer.

What I think my favorite part of the book is that the author recognizes the healing that journaling can bring emotionally, so there are thoughtful journal prompts provided after each entry. The author also provided a space right after the question for you to pause, reflect and jot down your though.

My Gift to You

Hi there! I’m glad you’re here.

I'm Sheryl, Chief Encourager here at Treasured Nest.

To me our home is our treasured nest. I'm a bit of word nerd so when you look up those two words it fits perfectly.

Treasure - to regard or treat as precious

Nest - a retreat, a resting place; home

I understand that life can get messy and chaotic which makes it hard to see the treasure we have before us.

I also know from my own personal struggles that seeing the treasure in ourselves can be well...challenging!!

So Welcome to Treasured Nest...a place where grace abounds and a place with resources to help make home life simpler and less chaotic. A place to build faith to help you gain confidence to see just what a treasure you are.

A Gift for You!
