Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Yesterday was our scheduled “Coffee Connect” Zoom with the members of the Flourish Faithbook Club…but we didn’t have it. Why? Because of this:

I couldn’t get passed the “Connecting . . .” prompt in Zoom. I’ve rescheduled it to next week, since it is a Flourish Faithbook Club Member resource, but this morning it came to mind that some days I have a harder time “connecting” to God. Do you ever feel that way?
When that happens I try to focus on a few things.
- Prayer, Reading, and making a focus on Him. What I mean by making a focus, I sometimes have to shut off that silly “to-do” list with my agenda and pray, read and listed/focus on Him. I also find it helpful to have that to-do list near and go ahead and let myself write myself a reminder so I can turn that “chatter and noise” off. I use things to help me write and study (Like the study methods like ACTS).
- Worship and Praise! Turn on some worship music and move! Dance! Pray! Rejoice! Taking time to to acknowledge our creator for who He is! (PS – I am part of our Worship Arts ministry but for those of you who aren’t….don’t just or feel self-conscious. Just move creatively if you don’t want to call it dance. Trust me, it will help you feel connected.
- Keep track daily of how God showed up! I call them Faith Prompts. It can be simple things you take notice and are grateful for. Yes…I don’t just think them…I write them down.
- Journal – I take time to journal as a way of helping me communicate with God. Some days they are blank pages that I begin with “Dear Heavenly Father”. Some days I use guided prompts to get you thinking.
I hope this little reminder helps.
For resources to help journal, keep tract of your faith prompts, study a scripture and more. Give the Flourish Faithbook Club a try for just $1. That’s right. We are offering your first month for a trial price of just $1.

Have a wonderful “connecting” kind of day!
